Cilip North West Local Studies Group are holding a Spring Dayschool on the
topic
"From Bid to Conclusion: Developing Successful and Sustainable Local
Heritage Projects"
Date: Wednesday 19th May 2004
Venue: County Hall, Pitt Street, Preston, Lancashire
The dayschool is on the subject of Heritage Funding, with speakers to
include Nigel Rudyard from Spinning the Web, Emma-Jane Arkady, Manchester
Library and Information Services Resource Procurement Officer, Jane
Fletcher, NWMLAC Learning and Access Officer and a speaker from the
Heritage Lottery Fund.
Cost: £22 to include a buffet lunch and all refreshments.
The aim of the dayschool is for experienced professionals to share their
knowledge and discus the process of undertaking heritage projects from
start to finish, including fund raising, the application process, funder's
requirements, implementing and managing projects, regional information and
sources of support. Library, Museum and Archive staff or any group or
organisation interested in undertaking a local heritage/cultural project
are invited to attend.
