Statisticians for Health Economics, Novartis Pharma AG, Basel
Statisticians and Programmers for a new group to support Patient Reported
Outcomes and Economical Support data.
In today’s environment the careful planning, reporting and presentation of
Patient Reported Outcomes and Economics Support (PRO/ES) data is becoming
more and more important to provide Health Economics arguments for pricing,
reimbursement and marketing purposes. In times of parallel processing of
information for registration and publication, under tight timelines,
Novartis realises the need for dedicated resources to support the planning,
analysis and reporting of PRO/ES data from clinical trials. Therefore,
within the department of Biostatistics and Statistical Reporting, we are
setting up a new group to support PRO/ES aspects of our clinical
development projects. This initially small group of 2 statisticians and
one programmer, lead by an experienced and enthusiastic leader, may well
become the nucleus of a developing and growing function.
The main tasks of this new group will be to influence the design of
clinical development projects and stuffed to include the important aspects
of PRO/ES to plan and implement the analysis and reporting of these
endpoints, and to support the publication of these data. This group should
also function as a centre of excellence and as advocates for these aspects
within the various functions of Clinical Research and Development in
Novartis. Working as part of one of the leading Biostatistics group in the
pharmaceutical industry, you are part of an exciting environment, driven by
innovation and cutting edge methodology, and offering a wealth of
development opportunities.
