Dr. Phillip Good, author of "Resampling Methods" (Birkhauser) and
"Permutation Tests" (Springer), as well as a number of other statistics
texts, will be giving his popular online course in resampling again July 16
- August 13.
If your analytical work involves testing hypotheses or calculating
confidence intervals and you are not familiar with resampling methods, this
course will get you up to speed.
It covers bootstrap confidence intervals, one- , two- and k-sample
comparisons, correlation, and a number of other most-powerful exact
(permutation) statistical procedures. It includes hands-on exercises with
several programs (including Resampling Stats, provided at no charge with
the course). Register at:
http://www.statistics.com/content/courses/resampling/index.html
As with all statistics.com courses, there are no set hours: do the
reading, do exercises, review answers, interact with the instructor on the
private discussion board. It should require about 10 hours per week.
