On Tuesday 22 June 2004 the Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU),
will be holding an Open Day in the Martin Wood Lecture Theatre
from 10.30-16.15 and we cordially invite you to join us. Everyone
is welcome to the meeting and it is free. Students are
particularly welcome.
The chief aims of the CTSU are to generate, and to disseminate,
reliable evidence about widely practicable methods of prevention
and treatment of vascular, neoplastic and other chronic
diseases, which account in many populations for most of the
premature mortality, for much of the disability, and for much of
the medical impairment of the quality of life.
During this open day, a number of CTSU staff will give short
talks describing some of the studies that are currently in
progress at CTSU.
Speakers include:
Smoking and Death 50 Years On Richard Peto
Treatment of Early Breast Cancer Paul McGale
Radiotherapy and Heart Disease Sarah Darby
