Postdoctoral Research Fellow,
Department of Mathematics and Department of Statistics, University of Warwick, UK
The postholder will be joining the interdisciplinary programme of cellular regulation (IPCR, http://www.maths.warwick.ac.uk/ipcr/).
Its main research aim is to understand the regulation and coordination of cellular systems using mathematical and statistical analysis, modelling and computation. In particular the candidate will be carrying out research on Regulatory networks: statistical links between models and data (project 3). This will require
1. developing stochastic models for small regulatory networks of genes (in particular circadian clocks);
2. developing and implementing statistical methods (Likelihood, MCMC) for drawing inference in such systems and apply these to data from biological experiments;
3. developing statistical strategies for confronting biological hypotheses with experimental data.
Skills/Experience required:

SALARY: £18,893 - £28,279, 2 year fixed-term contract
