Senior Statistician
Salary: £44,854 to £48,515 Clinical Scientist Grade C 26-28
Glasgow (Ref: GS7A)
The post requires you to provide statistical input to a range of NHS QIS
work aimed at improving the quality of healthcare delivered by NHSScotland.
You will be responsible for the assessment of clinical effectiveness and
modelling cost-effectiveness. Statistical advice may also be required in
the safety of health interventions, clinical outcome indicators or clinical
audit.
Educated to degree level in mathematics or statistics, preferably with a
postgraduate / professional qualification or demonstrable ability to
statistically model complex information. In addition to proven ability in
secondary research, you will have extensive understanding of the design and
analysis of primary research combined with a pragmatic and creative approach
to problem solving. Familiarity with the structure of the health service in
Scotland and clinical datasets would be an advantage.
