Minimum Requirements:
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments. Multivariate data
analysis & statistical modelling. Developing and implementing statistical
best practice and software solutions.
Experienced Graduate
Experience of working alongside senior managers.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
Experience of Leading Others

Details:
Joining Primary and Antibiotics Supply (PAS), which manufactures active
ingredients for GSK products, you will use your theoretical knowledge and
practical experience in industry or academia to identify opportunities and
develop solutions to help achieve our business goals. You will have
significant experience of statistical consultancy and technical
leadership, and be able to specify and lead projects on sites and for
central functions for process development, new product introduction and
quality control including SixSigma projects. As a principal statistician
you will play a pivotal role in our Statistics Centre of Excellence
leading, coaching and developing other statisticians and also
non-statisticians involved in SixSigma and development projects. This is a
demanding and visible role that you will be able to develop to meet
changes in the business.
This position can be based at any of the PAS Sites in the UK*. It will
involve working across this network and providing leadership to The
Statistics Centre of Excellence. The CoE is at Ulverston on the edge of
the Lake District, a location with an excellent quality of life, good
schools and access to some of the most stunning countryside the UK has to
offer. Wherever based you will be expected to travel within the UK, and in
Europe and worldwide.
You will be a very experienced graduate statistician, and a good
communicator capable of working alongside senior business improvement,
production, quality and technical managers. You will be able to influence
senior management and directors, and to build a network of contacts within
the company and externally. Whilst not essential, experience in
manufacturing, SixSigma, statistical systems and validation will be an
advantage. Expertise in core statistical competencies will be needed -
Statistical Process Control and Design of Experiments for process
improvement, multivariate data analysis and statistical modelling, and
developing and implementing statistical best practice and software
solutions.
