Dear colleagues,
I have noticed that in some Engineering and Quantum Mechanics
books , a p.d.f.(f(x)) is often expressed as a sum of weighted
DIRAC DELTAS. What is the reasoning behind this?
I know that a dirac delta is a function which is zero everywhere
except when its argument is zero when it becomes infinite.
Could anyone please help!
Sincerely yours,
