Dear Allstaters,
In all time-series courses I always heared about an example about the
accidental relationship (i.e., non-causal) about birth rates and number
of storks in the Netherlands. However when adjusting for trend and
seasonallity this association dissapeared because it's due to both
variables have the same temporal distribution.
Thus, I would like to know if this example is reported in any time-
series book? or, it is based in any published paper?, or even is based
in real data?.
Cheers.
