Title
Recent Trends in Scotland's Population
Abstract
The Scottish population is projected to fall from 5.05 million in 2002 to
4.84 million in 2027. The most significant factor affecting future
projected levels of population is the natural decrease - more deaths than
births. This talk will describe the methodology used and results of the
recent projections for Scotland and areas within Scotland, and will outline
some implications of these demographic changes.
