You will join a major international organisation, committed to the delivery of innovative drug development solutions to clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. To meet the ongoing needs of the business, they are looking for a Principal Statistician.
Principal Statistician
Location M4 Corridor
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for development of Statistical Analysis Plans.
- Responsible for Biostatistics' deliverables within assigned projects.
- Develop and coordinate QC procedures for Biometrics deliverables.
- Statistical analysis of clinical trial data and related decision making.
- Responsible for statistical input to statistical reports and Clinical Study Reports
- Provide statistical guidance in development of clinical research program.
- Provide statistical input into design/review of format of CRFs.
- Supervision, training and development of less-experienced statisticians within project activities
- Statistical/Biometrics lead for large global or other major programs.
- Project management activities for identified projects.
- Determine documentation requirements for Biostatistics' aspects of projects.
- Provide statistical input into other disciplines' activities and participate in interdepartmental processes
- Independent peer review of statistical deliverables.
- Provision of technical solutions and advice to staff and to clients on statistical methodology and principles.
- SAS programming and related activities for the presentation and analysis of clinical trial data.
- Contribute to proposal activities and client presentations.
- Represent the department during audits.
- Carry out all activities according to SOPs, working within the framework of the Quality Management System and to GCP.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
You will be educated to degree level, ideally with a Masters. You will have approximately five years postgraduate experience in the application of statistics to clinical trials. The ability to motivate yourself and others will also be a necessary attribute. A proficiency in SAS including use of a variety of statistical procedures is also required.
