Lecturer in Statistics
Applications are invited for a Lecturer in Statistics in the
University of Kent. The successful applicant will join a
thriving group of statisticians with a high research profile.
The group was graded 5* in the 2001 Research Assessment
Exercise. The University has declared its intention to invest in
Statistics in the near future, and the new lecturer will be part
of that process of expansion. Current areas of research interest
include Bayesian theory and applications, ecological modelling,
applied probability, biometry and bioinformatics. Preference may
be given to a person with interests related to the research
interests of the group.
The post is available from 1st April 2004, or such a date as may
be arranged. The salary will be on the Lecturer A/B scale
(UKP 22,191 - 25,451/ UKP 26,270 - 33,679) at a point appropriate
to experience.
