CLINICAL TRIALS AND STATISTICS UNIT
MEDICAL STATISTICIAN
The Institute of Cancer Research, one of the world's leading cancer research centres, has an opportunity for a medical statistician to join its Clinical Trials and Statistics Unit (ICR-CTSU) at its Sutton site. The ICR-CTSU is accredited by the National Cancer Research Institute and has a research portfolio of many national and international phase III RCTs with a special emphasis in breast cancer treatment and radiotherapy technology trials.
As a member of the ICR-CTSU you will join a multi-disciplinary team contributing to the:
· study design
· statistical analysis
· trial monitoring and management
This will involve working closely with clinical colleagues at the Royal Marsden NHS Trust and other collaborators in the UK and overseas. You will join ICR-CTSU at an exciting time working on trials that have analytical challenges when looking at quality of life datasets, treatment morbidity and efficacy trade-offs.
You should hold a post graduate qualification in medical statistics/applied statistics or a first degree in statistics and have at least 1-2 years relevant experience.
This appointment will be on a Fixed Term Contract (maternity leave cover) for 1 year with a salary in the range of £22,887 pa to
£32,380 pa pro rata. Excellent conditions including 30 days holiday, pension scheme, sports and social facilities.
