We currently have an opportunity for a statistician to join our site wide
data group in New Product Introduction. The individual will be required to
provide an effective statistics service that supports the business by
providing reliable and objective information about operating parameters
throughout the business
Key objectives will be to:
· Provide a proactive statistical data analysis service to the local
Product Streams and support groups in the areas of process improvement,
continuous improvement, New Product Introduction and customer/supplier
relations within the framework of the business plan
· Generate statistically based experiment designs and sampling
schemes for efficient and effective data/information gathering programmes
as part of the manufacturing process improvement, laboratory quality
control, validation and qualification exercises.
· Make recommendations from the statistical data analysis about
decisions required in the areas of product release specifications, process
control specifications and laboratory quality control to support
requirements for inspection readiness, process improvement and customer
satisfaction.
· Support the wider use of statistics across all parts of the
business by education and training.
The successful candidate will have:
Essential
· A degree level qualification in a relevant subject
· Experience of applying data evaluation techniques ideally in a
manufacturing environment
· Excellent communication skills at all levels, to be able to
explain statistical analyses to non statisticians.
· Confidence to make technical decisions
Desirable
· Experience in the application of Multivariate analysis within
Process Analytical Technology
· SAS
· SIMCA-P

· self motivated and enjoy working independently and across
functional boundaries
