HEALTH IN CONTEXT
A course in multilevel modelling for public health and health services research
Institute of General Practice and Community Medicine, University of Oslo
11-15 October 2004
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This course will follow the European Public Health Association conference
in Oslo (7-9 October 2004).
The course will be taught by leading scientists in multilevel modelling
within public health and health services research: Alastair Leyland (MRC,
Glasgow) and Peter Groenewegen (Nivel, Utrecht).
This course has been given previously in other European locations and it
has been very popular. It is unique as a research course focusing on
multilevel models applied to the health field. The course has a double
perspective because it considers both the theoretical (operationalising
concepts) and the technical aspects (multilevel statistics and computing).
There will be lectures of the main concepts, computer classes, individual
discussions with the teachers, critical reading of papers and analysis of
the participants' own data sets.
The fee for the course will be NOK 4000 (academic) or NOK 6000 (non-academic).
