Role Senior Statistician

Client A Major CRO in Germany

Remuneration approx. €50,000 - 70,000 depending on experience
                        27 holidays per year, pension,

Relocation Package Generous Relocation package


Reporting to Director

Tasks -As a member of the Data Pooling and Analysis Center within Global
Medical & Safety Services (GMSS) you will work on a broad spectrum of
international projects and supervise implementation and application for
pooled analysis. You will be involved in generation of Integrated Summaries
of Safety and Efficacy, NDAs, CTDs and risk management strategiesplan. You
will provide membership and/or support of Data Monitoring Committees (DMC’
s).

-Mentor and train colleagues, so organisational and interpersonal skills are
as important as your technical abilities.
-Provide leadership for data integration and pooled analyses projects.
-You will be a key point of contact for the clients and regulatory
authorities where appropriate.
- You will participate in business development activities (client
presentations, discussion of new opportunities, etc.) Provide guidance and
consultancy to clients within a project


Education Mathematical or Statistical degree and ideally an MSc or PhD in a
related subject

Experience/Skills -a minimum of five years industry experience, ideally
including prior experience working for a CRO
- Involvment in data integration and/or analysis for integrated summaries of
safety and efficacy
-Good working knowledge of SAS or equivalent
-Strong analysis and reporting skills
-Ability to apply a high standard of detail within a busy team environment
will be essential
-Experience of International studies.


Language Fluency in both German and English is important, although
candidates with only English and a willingness to learn German would be
considered

approximately $280 million in 2004. The company has provided services on a
contract basis to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries for more
than 25 years. The offices in Mannheim employ over 200 people, of many
different nationalities, who are providing services to the global
pharmaceutical industry.
About the Global
Medical
Safety and Services
 team An International Team with 70 people providing solutions mainly
to mid sized pharmaceutical companies which lack such expertise in-house.

The Data Pooling and analysis Centre is a department of 10 people with 6 in
the US and 4 in Europe. The group performs various studies mainly outside
the traditional clinical trial analysis. The work includes Epidemiology
studies, Risk Management, safety studies, survival analysis and
Meta -Analysis. It is a growing and expanding department and thus there are
potentially exciting career opportunities within the group.

The location The company is in an attractive small University city close to
the Black Forest and some of Germany’s most attractive countryside. There
is plenty to do culturally but the major city of Frankfurt is also quite
close by with typical big city amenities.
