Dear all,
I am appraising a project which looks to validate a method to detect
parasitic protozoa on fruit and vegetables.
The researchers have used two statistics called "accordance" and
"concordance" to measure repeatability and reproducibility respectively
(within and between labs). From the references in the report it seems that
accordance and concordance are used only when looking at microbiological
data, and when the data is qualitative, i.e present/absent.
A paper from the International Journal of Food Microbiology touches upon
this subject, and some other research made me aware of the use of
'concordance' to evaluate reproducibility, however I have been unable to
find any other information on accordance.
Could anyone point me in the right direction to any references that may
statistical justify the use of accordance.
