The Candidate:
Advanced degree in one of the following: Biological/Chemical Sciences,
Clinical Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Computer
Science
In-depth expertise in decision support technologies such as: machine
learning methods, natural language processing, exploratory statistical
techniques, OLAP, multi-dimensional visualization, computationally
intensive analytical techniques.
Proven experience in the application of decision support technologies
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team/matrix-oriented environment
Role Details:
Promote Data exploration team and activities
Collaborate in the identification and development of unique applications
for problem solving throughout GSK.
Develop unique applications for problem solving throughout GSK
Assist in data warehousing and mining efforts across Biomedical Data
Sciences (BDS) and GSK
Work closely with DEC project leaders, Epidemiology and BDS Therapeutic
Area Leaders.
Manage projects where unique technologies are applied to solve problems
throughout GSK
Consult with groups across GSK on the application of new technologies
Test and evaluate new technologies
