New Opportunities in Clinical Statistics
Clinical Science | Alderley Park, Cheshire
Biostatistics is an integral part of Global Clinical Science
at AstraZeneca and our statisticians provide expert and
strategic advice to the development of our products. This
work is vitally important to our mission as a company -
helping us to turn good ideas into medicines that make a
real difference to the quality of people's lives.
We're currently looking for two additional Statistical experts
to support Discovery Medicine, transitioning Oncology and
Inflammation projects from Discovery to Clinical. You will
be involved in developing the capabilities to support early
phase development and strategies for decision-making.
This will include supporting the best use of Magnetic
Resonance Imaging, the assessment of biomarkers,
providing advice on the use of histopathological data
and the incorporation of genomics into clinical studies.
Your technical expertise is more important than the number
of years' experience you can claim, but we'll expect you to
have a good understanding of the clinical environment.
Experience of multivariate statistics would be advantageous.
We currently have one permanent role and another on a two
year fixed-term contract. So if you have a relevant MSc or
PhD in medical or applied statistics - and experience of
the design and analysis of clinical studies using a variety
of statistical techniques - then we want to hear from you.
To find out more and to apply online, please visit our
website (reference COG0001).
Closing date: 7th May. Interviews to be held on the 17th.
