The University of Maastricht is the youngest university in the Netherlands

University has seven faculties, Arts & culture, Economics & Business and
Administration, General Sciences, Health Sciences, Law, Medicine and

the University College Maastricht, which is a broad bachelor program.
The Department Methodology and Statistics of the University of Maastricht,
The Netherlands, invites applications for a three-year post-doc/lecturer
position.
Post-doc position/lecturer in Research Methods (f/m, three years)
The Department Methodology and Statistics teaches elementary and advanced
courses in research methods and statistics to Bachelor, Master and PhD.
students in the Health Sciences. Members of the department also teach
statistical courses to medical and psychology students and participate in
international programs, like the bachelor program of the University College.
The research of the Department focuses on biometric topics and psychometric
topics. Special interest is on optimal design and analysis of longitudinal
studies with random effect and multilevel models and on statistics
education. The staff members are assigned to research institutes of the
Maastricht University.
Tasks
The post-doc will be mainly responsible for the Research Methods course of
the University College Maastricht. This course focuses of elementary
research methods for social sciences and is problem based. As member of the
Department the appointee will also participate in the research program of
the Department and join research teams in the health and social sciences as
a methodological consultant.
Requirements:
We are looking for applicants who have a PhD. in Research Methods or Applied
Statistics and have a research record in one of the following area's:
methodology in social sciences, applied statistical methods, psychometrics,
sociometrics, biometrics or any other related field, and has already
published in international journals. We expect the appointee to be committed
to excellent and innovative teaching and to be a good English speaker.

Salary:
We offer a three-year full-time appointment with possibility of extension.
Salary depends on experience and is maximum 3983 euro gross per month,
according to salary scale 11.
