These two events provide an opportunity to appreciate developments
between, as well as within, four broad areas of statistical methodology:
diagnostics, robustness, exploration and modelling. The 1 day meeting
comprises keynote talks by John Copas, Ursula Gather, John Gower, Paul
Marriott, Marco Riani and Victor Yohai. The workshop comprises the 1 day
meeting plus a further 10-15 talks and poster sessions, with plenty of
time for discussion. Further details of both events can be found at:
http://statistics.open.ac.uk/dream/default.htm.
The deadlines for registration are 17 March 2005 for the 1 day meeting,
and 19 January 2005 for the workshop. Numbers at the workshop are
limited, by European Science Foundation (ESF) guideline, to about 40.
DREaM 2005 is organised by the ESF network "Statistical Analysis of
Complex Data with Robust and Related Statistical Methods" with
additional support from the Open University, whose Statistics Department
is hosting both events.
