Dear Allstaters,
I have the correlation between food attitude and body weight in 11 year old
children. I can predict adult weight for the children by using weight at 11 years
and parents' weights. I wish to estimate the correlation between food attitude at
11 years and child's adult weight. Correlating food attitude at 11 years with
child's predicted adult weight overestimates the true correlation as it doesn't
allow for the error of prediction. How can I attenuate the correlation to allow
for this ?
Any help much appreciated .
