I have been asked to comment on a paper that presents a statistical method expressed in Dirac (ket) notation. This was entirely new to me, and the reference given was a 1970 book. However, I have been able to trace and learn about the notation from some recent web publications.
I am therefore not at this point asking for any assistance with the task in hand, but would be interested to hear from any allstat member who has come across ket notation in anything other than quantum chemistry or sub-nuclear physics. Negative reports are not needed; I'll assume anyone who doesn't reply doesn't recognise the name!
