BAYSIAN APPROACHES TO EVIDENCE SYNTHESIS & DECISION ANALYSIS - ASSESSING
THE APPROPRIATE USE OF HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY
In deciding whether a pharmaceutical should be withdrawn from clinical use,
or its use restricted, the synthesis and integration of evidence from a
variety of heterogeneous sources, regarding both potential harms and
benefits, is often required. Bayesian approaches to such analyses are
illustrated by considering the use of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
