AHDS Visual Arts is pleased to announce the addition of works from
fineart.ac.uk to its growing visual arts digital catalogue.
Fineart.ac.uk, the National Fine Art Education Digital Collection, is a
prototype for a national web-based collection of work by staff and
students of UK Higher Education institutions who have made a significant
contribution to UK fine art education through practice. It includes
works by many important figures in British art such as Richard Hamilton,
Bridget Riley, Barbara Hepworth and Tracy Emin.
The Collection contains around 200 digital images and associated
curatorial information, drawn from paintings, sculptures, prints and
drawings from the mid-19th century to the present day. More than 150
artists-practitioners who studied or taught at degree (or equivalent)
level in schools of art are represented.
