Oldham Arts Education Forum are staging a two week festival (5-17th July 2004) - the Young in Arts
festival - to showcase the work of Oldham's young people and to raise the profile of careers in the
arts.
As part of the festival we would like to start a collection of case studies of people living or
working in Oldham who make a living, or part of their living, from the creative industries. We're
hoping that by highlighting real people that students can identify with, they will be encouraged to
pursue their ambitions in what to many will be a new and unfamiliar world. The case studies will be
published or displayed in some form not yet decided, possibly a booklet or set of cards, depending
on the response we get. As a contributor you may even get some networking benefit from it yourself.
We would be grateful if you could fill in the attached form, using it as a guideline - please don't
feel obliged to give any information that you don't want to.
Please circulate to colleagues and subject lists as appropriate.
Thank you for any help you can give us.
