Hi Richard,
Our lifts communicate with a hand free system directly to the 24 hr
control room, this is the first I have heard of this.

Subject: [ACCESSIBUILT] Lift Communications
Dear All,
College are currently undertaking a refurbishment scheme of an existing
building, part of the work involves the upgrading of a lift.
We had always intended to include a "telephone" link for use in an
emergency to our security lodge which is staffed 24 hours a day.
We have now been told that this is no longer allowed and we must
included for an auto dialler to route the call to a call centre if our
security lodge does not answer the call.
Can members advise me if this correct and if so what good practice there
is to facilitate this?
Regards
Richard
