Hi Mary/Vin
there were a couple of ropes at pubs down at the bottom in Wind St. used as
end barriers.
I mentioned it to the owners and they took action.
I asked they did, so I saw no need to involve the council, although one of
them said ropes were Ok with the council, I explained and he saw the point
(even bought me a pint).
I have found that generally if you explain people are pretty reasonable
especially if you mention the potential cost of court cases and
compensation.
I noticed another rope in Morriston high st. but that has gone now or at
least I haven't seen it again.
re-chains it's what the pamphlet allows. I noted them as - There are a
couple in Neath one of which is lethal. sited across a busy lane/road
junction where pedestrians cross regularly. I had to get a taxi for one guy
that fell over it and bled fairly well, trouble is people will not complain
when they have the accidents they take it as being themselves that are at
fault. The other is at the side of the walkway (council owned) and although
I have seen people trip, I haven't myself as I am well aware of the damn
thing.
Dad and I have had a go at the council and the owners but no action is
taken, could it have anything to do with it belonging to the conservative
club?
to me some of the worst items are A-frames, Mary has had a good go at them
is Swansea but many other towns do not take action. The rebar type framed
signs are worst not visible, they tangle your legs and they are heavy.
Dave
