Hi All
I am trying to contact all local authority Access Officers in Scotland with
a view to setting up a Scottish Region of the Access Association.
If anyone out there is interested in getting involved please get in touch.
Unfortunately there is a problem in that letters I sent to "Access Officers"
are being forwarded to "Countyside Access Officers" as each Scottish
Authority has in the last year or so employed people to take on this role.
One reply I have had back suggested that the title Access Officer was
innapropriate and the Access Association should use a different name!!
Having now checked it does appear that in Scotland the Scottish Executive
recognises the title Access Officer to mean Countryside access on the back
of the Land Reform Act.
Any suggestions for a more suitable name that would reduce confusion?
