Have you considered using a tensile fabric roof - I have seen some which
have a single steel column with cantilevered armatures. But I am not sure
what your budget is - they don't come cheap!

Subject: Covered parking bays
Hi All
I have been asked to reccommend a means of covering the 4 accessible parking
bays at a new sports centre. There is concern that supports for the roof may
compromise the vehicular and pedestrian movement. There is no adjacent
structures that we can cantilever off so the structure has to be
freestanding. Has anyone seen something they would reccommend?
