Hi Guy

thanks for the suggestion and looking at the gradient checker you use it is
similar to the Bosch DNM60L we can get in the UK

Subject: [ACCESSIBUILT] Gradient Meter

Good day,

I am a new member to this list. I have been looking through the archives
and I am very impressed with the obvious expertise and experience here; I
only wish I had 'found' you earlier! Although based in South Africa,
obviously many of the problems here are the same as those faced anywhere in
the world. In looking back I noticed a thread concerning gradient meters.
I have used a variety of different devices in the course of my business, and
I now rely on a tool called Smarttool made by Macklanburg-Duncan (I am not
connected in any way to the manufacturers / wholesalers!). It is a small
(16cm x 5cm x 4cm) digital device, which reads out any gradient in degrees /
% / or roofing fall (inch / foot). The reading is immediate and can also be
locked. I have found it indispensable when conducting audits. Cost is a
little high (expect around £80 - £110), but it speeds up the task of
auditing enormously. I can post a picture, or alternatively you can find
suppliers by searching for Smarttool on most search engines.
