Kevin, Jim et al
Frankly I'm at a loss to understand your argument over the relevant use of
this podiatry forum for debate on professional issues of the day. I fully
accept that clinical and academic topics have primacy and quite rightly so,
but when the profession finds itself in crisis and the issues are of such
magnitude as to threaten its entire existence, as we are currently
experiencing in the UK, then I would have thought it pertinent and
desirable that open and forthright discussion takes priority. With the
greatest respect Kevin, I would have thought the regulation of the
profession had more relevancy than finding the ideal pint of stout in the
Emerald Isle, for instance, as nostalgic as it may be for some. But then
again I could very well be mistaken and with that in mind, maybe its time I
finally took leave of absence from this small and [occasionally]
introverted room.
Perhaps the ostriches have the right idea after all?
Yours sincerely
Mark Russell
