Just returned from my spiritual home ..Eire, Donegal, and yes it rained
every day. The good point is that if Ireland had guaranteed good weather,
it just wouldn't be Ireland. It would be overrun with tourists!! The no
smoking stuff is absolutely fantastic and the rest of the world will, I'm
sure, follow suit. The most surprising thing is (knowing the usual stance
taken by my blood relations to the law) is that it was strictly followed!!
In every public establishment (and I went to a fair few) the air was clear;
you just had to take a torch to get in and out of places owing to the heavy
'fog' around all the doorways! Wonderful stuff and I agree that Donegal is
a superb place. The craic was mighty! I'll be redundant in a year, any jobs
going in the Emerald Isle??

Forgot to mention for those of you thinking of a trip to Ireland. It is
now "NO SMOKING" in any place of work. That means pubs, bars, clubs and
restaurants.
It also means that there are a lot more beer gardens cropping up which is
great when it's sunny - but it has been raining for the most of the last
three weeks. Sorry Kevin
