Dear Colleagues,
This message is intended for NHS based UK Podiatrists.
My MRC fellowship is due for renewal in 2005 so I'm currently in the process of developing a new 5 year program of work. I'm writing to seek expressions of interest from UK NHS based podiatry services who may be willing to act as collaborating sites for clinical trials. You need to be running a rheumatology podiatry service, preferably with a lead podiatrist in post, and have a good working relationship with your local rheumatologists. Multi-centre trials will be coordinated in Leeds, including project management, trial coordination, COREC work, data management and analysis etc, so the burden in collaborating centres should be minimal. Of course, this approach will widen the ownership of our work and you will be making a significant contribution to the evidence-base in podiatric rheumatology.
For further information, or to register your interest, please contact me directly and preferably by email in the first instance ([log in to unmask]).
Very best wishes
Jim Woodburn
