Would you not just consider going for private Podiatry routine
maintenance treatment when you get too old to manage yourself? TNA for
every nail does seem a little drastic!

Anne Marie,
I really did not mean to be condesending I simply wanted views on this
form
of treatment, the nhs is never going to be provided with enough money to
do
what ever it wants.
I think you have made it clear that you don't believe in 'proactive'
surgery, but it was not that long ago that people were having all of
their
teeth removed to avoid unneceassary dental problems. Maybe this is
simply a
stage we need to go through just as dentistry has done before the public
start to acknowledge the importance of foot care.
As I have said the day I am unable to manage my own nails I will have
them
all off, I started with a PNA about 4 years ago.
Regards
Akbal
PS National Insurance is simply part of general taxation but directly
linked
to pension provision, it has nothing to do with provision of health
care,
the NHS is paid for out of general taxation, be that NI or corporation
tax.
