hi Clive,
i don't think that neuromas do disappear after a successful treatment, i do
think that they become asymptomatic, i.e. causing less or no pain, however
if the patient stops wearing his/hers functional orthotics/insoles the s&s
will come back sooner or later. The importance of footwear must also be
stated i.e. the biggest culprit of neuromas seams to be a slip-on shoe.
However very often patient compliance [when it comes to footwear] is very
poor. [Van Dal shoes are the 'best'!] do you agree?
anita
p.s. i talked to a radiologist[friend], who stated that very often neuromas
are not producing a reliable shadow on the x-ray and therefore can't be used
as a 100% proof.
