Hi Phil
We are just coming to the end of a piece of research studying the effect of
rearfoot posting on lat to med COP velocity and position using f scan.
The results will be presented at the Staffs conference in April, however if
you want more info on the methodology then contact me privately.
Regards
Joanne

Subject: F-Scan protocols
I am in the process of attempting research into the efficacy of a Total
Contact EVA orthoses. This will be done 1st via a pilot study, then via a
multi disciplinary and multi centre approach.
The research is comparing two different types (Low density v's a
high/medium/low - heel to forefoot - multi density EVA) and I would like
to use the F-Scan system to evaluate them.
I have limited experience in using the F-Scan but would like to look at
the velocity of the centre of pressure and using the CoM annylsis software.
Any other variables worth looking at?
What I would like help with is the creation of a protocol that would give
reliable and valid data - especially due to the multi centre approach.
Could anyone with experience in this area - either research or clinical
use of the F-Scan - point me in the right direction
Thanks alot
Philip Wells
