Dear Jeff,
Can I refer you to the queastions from your previous postings regarding the
development of the Orthoscanner. These questions I have tried to answer but
alas cannot divulge how to create such a system or the technology employed.
I do not think you would expect me to.
Until now, prospective purchasers after initial discussions spend a day at
the laboratory in order to ascertain the capabilities of the system. Of all
the Podiatric surgeons and Consultant Podiatric surgeons within the UK that
have viewed the system in Albert street, Aberdeen, all have bought the
system.Following installation further courses are offered to the
Podiatrists and their staff.
Users use the system to establish biomechanical measurement dynamically or
to establish pre or post surgical evaluation. Occasionally our Medico legal
package is used. Since the system is castless the Podiatrists tend to use
the system in a similar manner to other Consultant surgeons who would use
testing procedures in their speciality.
I am sorry Jeff if you feel that I was trying to push the scanner, but if
you look at all the recent postings it would be impossible to answer all
questions in one response, for they all vary tremendously. All I can say at
this point is that in our experience the system appeals more to the
biomechanically aware rather than possibly the less experienced. As a
result I know that you and Kevin would appreciate this addition to our
armoury.
