Dear Colleagues,

*** FINAL NOTICE *****

Movement Analysis 2004

From laboratory testing towards clinical application

27-28 February 2004

Hosted by the Department of Sport & Exercise Science, University of
Auckland.

The Biomechanics Laboratory at the University of Auckland is one of the
leading research centres for human movement analysis in New Zealand. The
goal of the research team is to advance knowledge in clinical areas and
apply these scientific developments to the 'real world'.

To transfer successfully ideas from the lab to the clinic, extensive
collaborations between health professionals and the research team are
required. A successful collaboration depends not only on well designed
research questions, but also on common goals and a firmly established
administrative infrastructure. The purpose of this symposium is to highlight
some successful transfers to clinical areas, and provide a forum for
development of new collaborative ideas.

The meeting will be held at the University of Auckland's Tamaki Campus.
Currently, Tamaki Campus is undergoing major developments to set up a modern
postgraduate research oriented centre, which will integrate industrially
supported development projects and high quality fundamental research.
