Dear All,
I submitted a summary of an Asian entleman with a 7 year history of heel pain.
All interventions had been unsuccessful and diagnostic tests came back as negative. The patient had constant pain from which he recieved no relief.
A number of people came up with suggestions which we discussed at length in the orthopaedic clinic. We opted for Kevin's suggestion of performing a posterior tibial nerve block.
This was performed and the patient still stated the pain was present and had not changed! This gentleman was then referred to a pyschologist as he had no relief from pain.
He attended clinic last friday and his condition significantly improved.
Many thanks for all your suggestions and advice with this complex case
Simon Dickinson
