I have to say this to stop a democracy being confused with a representative
democracy.
A democracy is a political system where all constituent have the right to
vote on all issues and the majority prevails. A representative democracy is
a political system where all constituents may vote to choose a
representative to whom they delegate the right to vote on issues on their
behalf (but alas not always reflecting the individual's opinion).
There lies the rub.
