Thanks to Neil and Ralph
So if we take aboard what the HPC has told Neil:
"The HPC want us to simply say we are 'Podiatrist/Chiropodist' as they
believe that since closure of the profession we are all equal under those
titles...."
Would the rest of the UK lurkers on this forum agree to the above statement,
and be prepared to drop the SR wording? It's just that I feel that we may
not - as yet - have total unity within; but we must show a unified front to
the outside world.
I'm sure that alot of us that are in private practice have heard from new
patients "I chose your practice because of the impressive letters after your
name!" OR "I chose your practice, because you are State Registered". I have
been hearing the later more and more in the last year or so. It seamed to me
that the population at large where getting to grips with State Registered
and Non-SR, now we are changing it!!
So what will be the acceptable approach for a yellow pages or even any form
of advertising?
Perhaps:
Mr. F. Man
Podiatrist/Chiropodist
and in bullet form in the main body of the advert:
HPC and State Registered.
Qualification titles.
What say the rest of the private practitioners on this forum?
Again apologies to all those on the forum that this does not apply to -
remember the DELETE key :-)
Regards
Tony Munday
