progression is the second seminar in the hothaus series and will explore the
creative potential of technologies using examples from interdisciplinarity,
collaboration, programming, choreography and supercomputing.
Speakers include Simon Yuill, Dr Gregory Sporton and Robert Sharl, Matthew
Gough, Michelle Kasprzak and Axel Roch. The chair is Sadie Plant (UK).
The hothaus series provides a platform to discuss pertinent issues within
contemporary media arts practice and theory. The objective of the series is
to create a discursive forum for people interested in new forms of art,
curation and distribution. The exploration of the use of technology within
artistic practice, interaction and participation, emergence, curation,
distribution and interdisciplinary practice will run as key themes and
issues throughout the series.

The hothaus series is a collaboration between Vivid and University of
Central England. The proceedings from the seminars will be published in
2005.
