ASSISTANT EDITOR (NEW MEDIA)
Salary £18,544 p.a.
You will join the dynamic and friendly New Media team to develop and
maintain a wide range of multimedia, helping visitors to enjoy the
collection to the full. You will play a key role in creating engaging
content about the Gallery's permanent collection, making full use of
digital media, both online and within the museum.
You will be highly skilled at writing in a concise and engaging way for a
broad audience and able to edit text quickly and accurately. A demonstrable
ability to think creatively about bringing works of art to life through
interactive media is a key requirement for this challenging and rewarding
post. You also will have the ability to manage large amounts of content in a
variety of media, working within constraints of resources, time and budget
to achieve project milestones.
You must have a minimum of a first degree, a passion for communicating, one
to two years' experience of developing attractive and stimulating material
for a diverse audience. Experience of working with content management
systems and databases will be advantageous.
