***************** AMENDMENTS to TIMING of this EVENT ***************
Please NOTE that this Prof. Oppenheim's talk will now start at
1.40pm and finish at 3.15pm.
UC&R Wales Annual General Meeting. 16th June 2004. National Library of
Wales, Aberyswyth.
Guest Speaker: Charles Oppenheim - "The new copyright legislation and
its impact on LIS staff."
PLUS: a behind the scenes tour of the National Library for Wales.
A not-to-be missed event. Two years ago, Charles Oppenheim enthralled a
large crowd in Cardiff with his lively, entertaining and hugely
informative talk. We booked him up straight away to come back to us in
2004 and to review developments in this field - particularly in the
light of the implementation of the EU Directive on Copyright.
In addition, we are also lucky to be able to offer a sneaky, behind the
scenes preview of exciting new developments at the National Library of
Wales, and the exciting new Drum auditorium, which will be being formally
opened just days later.
The tour will be in the morning (11am to 12.30pm); AGM will be at
1.30-1.40pm; and Charles Oppenheim will be speaking at 1.40pm to 3.15pm.
This event is FREE and open to all.
