A trip to the virtual world - 27th April 2004
Developments in technology are changing the way information professionals work and communicate. It can be challenging to keep up-to-date with the latest developments.
City Information Group's April seminar will focus on two aspects of the virtual world.
The first speaker, Roger Brown, contracts and licensing manager at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), will describe the dramatic transformation of the GSK libraries from physical to virtual, focussing on the implications for their information vendors. Many of you will already be dealing with this issue already, or in the near future.
Our second speaker, Matt Mower, partner in Evectors Software, will discuss exciting new developments in people-centred knowledge management. He will focus on "social software" including weblogs, aggregators and instant messengers.
Date: Tuesday, 27th April 2004
Time: Registration from 6pm. Seminar starts at 6.30pm
Venue: Balls Brothers at the Minster (downstairs), Minster Court, Mincing Lane, London EC3R 7PP
