Copyright: you thought you knew everything but...
Confused about copyright and dazed about directives? The City Information Group and the City Legal Information Group are joining forces for an event that you can’t afford to miss.
We have invited three experts to give a full picture of what is going on, how to cope with licensing and the sticker scheme, separate fact from fiction and cut out the jargon. We will give you relevant answers to your concerns about copyright and how it applies to electronic media and to working in business or law libraries and information centres.
SPEAKERS
Barbara Stratton, Copyright Adviser, CILIP and Secretary to LACA will chair the event and give us a brief overview of the key changes that will affect us .
Esther Gunaratnam, an Associate in the Intellectual Property, Technology & Media and Corporate & Commercial Groups of Laytons law firm, will provide a lawyer's viewpoint and explain how copyright applies to electronic media.
Graham Cornish of The Copyright Circle www.copyrightcircle.co.uk, will include the CLA and NLA, licensing and the negotiation of copyright permissions with individual publishers.
