Dear Michael,
Thanks for this information.
Will there be off-campus access for institutions on the new platform eg
by Athens or other password or will access be by IP address only?
Thanks,
Heather

Sage announces new urls for sage journals online
Thousand Oaks, California and London, United Kingdom (August 10, 2004) -
SAGE Publications has recently announced the launch of SAGE Journals
Online, SAGE's new electronic journal delivery platform developed by
Stanford's HighWire Press. SAGE Journals Online will go live September,
2004. The platform will host SAGE journals in both the social sciences
and STM disciplines, providing institutions with premier search
technology, toll-free linking features, a social science specific
taxonomy, and enhanced subscription options for their journal
collections.
As part of the new platform, all existing URLs for SAGE journals are
changing. Though SAGE will continue to provide full-text content via
Ingenta for the remainder of 2004 re-directs from the existing URLs will
not be possible. Therefore, you will need to update your systems and
catalogues to reflect the new platform URLs.
SAGE recognizes the time and effort required to facilitate this change,
and we have made every attempt to provide all necessary information in
an easy downloadable format. To update your URLs, please follow these
simple steps:
1) Open an Internet browser
2) Log on to
http://www.sagepublications.com/2005subscriptioninfo.htm
3) Click on the link for 'New URLs'.
This page provides a table with all the necessary information that can
be downloaded in either a text format.
To ensure your patrons are directed to the new platform, please complete
this process for the September 1, 2004 launch of the SAGE Journals
Online.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Michael Rafter
([log in to unmask]) at your earliest convenience.
