Course Overview
This course provides an introduction to copyright and how it is used. Delegates will be helped to understand the legal background, and to make sense of their own organisation's contracts and licences. They will learn how copyright is managed in practice in a publishing company, and how to avoid legal pitfalls such as libel and plagiarism. The primary focus of the course will be on journals publishing, although book publishing will be covered if appropriate to the delegates.
