All small to medium-sized publishers and societies will have considered outsourcing some or all of their publishing functions at one stage or another. What are the key criteria when considering outsourcing? What can and can't you effectively outsource? How can you manage the partnership with your outsourcer and what points should you consider when changing your outsourcer? And, ultimately, how do you go about outsourcing your entire publishing operation?
Eminent speakers will answer those key questions through case studies, examining
a.. outsourcing an online publication
b.. managing the outsourcing of suppliers in the UK and overseas
c.. outsourcing to a virtual editorial office
d.. bringing your outsourcing from out-house back to in-house.
A key session of the day will be Slicing and Dicing your Outsourcing. This will take the form of break-out facilitated workshops which will provide delegates with an opportunity to share their experiences with their peers, and will cover managing, finding and changing your outsourcer. To take full advantage of this interactive session, delegates will be asked to choose when returning their booking form which area they are most interested in discussing.
Who should attend?
This full day seminar will be of interest to both strategic and 'hands-on' managers in small to medium-sized society and commercial publishers, who want to learn more about effectively outsourcing and managing their suppliers across all areas of publishing.
